The Zeta Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. holds a distinguished place in the fraternity’s history as one of its earliest collegiate chapters. Chartered in 1909 at Yale University, Zeta Chapter has upheld Alpha Phi Alpha’s mission of developing leaders, promoting academic excellence, and providing service to communities for more than a century.
As a multi-institution collegiate chapter, Zeta Chapter serves undergraduate men from several universities throughout the Greater New Haven area, including University of New Haven, Southern Connecticut State University, Quinnipiac University, and Albertus Magnus College. This structure allows the chapter to unite scholars from diverse academic communities under one charter, strengthening brotherhood and expanding its impact across campuses.
